I just got the new mag through the door. :D

Not giving anything away, but it's a damn good mix of bikes and articles, including some more technical stuff.

Just one thing obviously missing. :(

No details, but it has been discussed on the Forum.

Is it a photo of ME and my Old Guzzi ?

I told them I was too ugly to appear in print, but they would insist on taking pictures anyway !

I do get a mention though - Cheers chaps !

I've only had a brief flick through, I'll read it properly in a wee while - when I go to the pub for my Brekkie !

Got mine this very morning, great read! :)

Umm..One thing tho. Danny DeFazio, on P.81 says a Norton Commado can be had for £2,500? I've spent the last 3 months trawling the internet, looking for one @ about that price, there are none that I can find. :( A few US imports have appeared, tho these were non-running and in very poor condition. From experience I'd say the average price seems to be £3,500-£4,500.

I'm not taking a pop at Danny, but I'd like to ask where I could get my hands on a £2.5k machine? I've got the cash in my pocket.

Cheers,

Hegel

Wish my subscription hadn't run out as I now have to get it at the papershop.

I'm curious what's happened to the Harris project bike. Has it a mysterious past we need to know about? Was it nicked? Is there a new plan to install a turbocharged single cylinder diesel in it?

That's it, ScotDuke, the thing I was anticipating with most interest.

No news!

Might it turn out a bit like this?

Yamaha SZR660 SZR 660

Current price:

£770.00

That's John Faulkner! I was at school with him in 1970 - something... small world. He has been writing to bike mags for years.

He had a Kawasaki KH125, new I think. I went out for a ride with him and he fell off it.  I nearly ran him over. An excellent fellow.

I expect they've had issues with being able to register it, as being a racing frame I doubt it had a V5 originally, that would explain the wait till nxt year

More likely they haven't sourced an engine for it yet !
I thought when they said in the August issue that they were still looking for an engine that they were going to be struggling to have anything new to show us by the September issue !

It did say it was a Harris Yamaha though. I hope it's an air-cooled RD400 and not an LC.
