Re: Aug. '08 issue p.29, "Rick's Fixes", forum column, "Near Enough" taken from the forum question "Short Roadholder Forks" asked by by NorBSA 1:

Apparently I'm supposed to have said that originally, Roadholder fork oil capacity would have been given as six fluid ounces, - that amount being 142.06cc? http://www.classicbikeforum.com/forum6/4647.html

When what I actually said was that five fluid ounces are 142.06cc/ml.

5 Imp. fl. oz. = 1/4 Imp. pint = 142.06cc/ml.

(20 Imp fl. oz = 1 Imp. pint,

1 Imp. fl. oz = 28.41cc/ml,

1 US fl. oz. = 29.57cc/ml -a larger amount, but there are only 16 fl. oz. in a US Pint)

Bugger, sorry about that. I think I got so tied up in putting the 'point 06' bit that I got the rest wrong!

Blindingly good read so far. And fcuk me if it didn't turn up yesterday in my mail box. IN THAILAND!!! That is pretty damn good service. Add to that the centre pages not falling out and I am warming to this new owner... :)

Love the Duke 900ss bit and the Pre '32 bikes! Looks like its going to be one to be savoured.
