As for Brits that will fit your bill, just keep looking.
Most of them will need frequent fettling / fiddling with but any should deliliver reliableish transport if you dont thrash them too mercilessly. That is what they were designed for.
Getting there slowly is better than not getting there at all, whether you are in A+E or in the morgue. Leave home a few minutes earlier.
