For the time being I have given up my search for a Brit bike that really does it for me, so many wasted trips and hours spent on the internet, I was brought up on 2 strokes during the 70s so when I saw this beautiful Gt500 advertised in blue and recently restored by Rising Sun restorations I couldn't resist. And it will be mine this Wednesday.

| Good solid bike - one of the most reliable 70s two strokers - a surprisingly good tourer by all accounts. Lots of my mates had 'em.

Looks nice.
Not as nice as the older T500's but lots cheaper and parts should be more readily available.

Nice colour! I bought a red one on Friday after trying in vain to find a good T500. Fun to ride, but you will find the need to push it on speedwise instead of a 60mph brit iron plod . Hope you enjoy it!

Hello surfsup,
Nice looking GT500, you will undoubtedly have fun putting on the miles.
Many spares for the T/GT500 are still available off-the-shelf from Suzuki, always best to do a price comparison before bidding big bucks on eBay (now how do I know that ).
The T/GT also share many common parts, apart from the obvious tank shape/badges, electronic ign and better forks on the GT a lot of parts did not change from the earliest to the latest model.
Cheers Zunspec

If you're in Bandit country, what are you doing riding two strokes?

welcome to the loony bin Guess you've sniffed plenty of 2-stroke smoke up to now, so you'll need no settling in.
