Norton Motors was in Bracebridge street Birmingham until it moved into the AMC factory in Plumstead road London. BSA were in Amoury rd Birmingham. Triumph were in Meridan Coventry.

But you wont see much now, they,ve all gone under housing developments.

That'd be MERIDEN, not Meridan, Meridien or even Meridian !
Jeez !
Before that they were in Priory Street, Coventry City Centre.
Coventry University occupies most of the old site, opposite the New Cathedral, The Swimming Baths are where the loading bay used to be.
The Rudge factory was also in Coventry, just inside the infamous Ring Road, the site is now occupied by the Coventry SkyDome.
There were dozens of smaller factories in Coventry, mainly making bikes based around the godawful Villiers 2-Stroke engines, likewise Birmingham had more than a few !
BSA were made at Small Heath, Birmingham.
There was a go-cart track on the site of the old factory, not sure what's there these days

I think the gun bit of the BSA building is still there.  There are a lot of industrial buildings in the area - Jon's former employers (nasty bunch of b**tards) have a factory that is just behind where the BSA site was.

And of course, if anyone actually cares, Umberslade Hall is still there.
Luxury Apartments now apparently.

Some Birmingham motorcycle manufacturers:

Ariel, Selly Oak

Excelsior, Tyesley

Hercules, Aston

James

New Hudson

New Imperial

Norton Motors, Bracebridge St, Aston

Sun, Aston Brook Street

Velocette, Hall Green

....some of which were better known for bicycle production but also made small motorcycles, scooters and autocycles (yes, I know it is insensitive of me to spell the word SCOOTERS in full without the use of asterisks - face your fears!!)

Got these from this site, which has some interesting content should you want any further detail or to find pictures of Birmingham made scooters etc:

And, for all we know, still may be !
Obviously the original factory is now an Aldi or Lidl (It's Grim Oop North !)
But the original tooling is probably still being used in some Taciturn Yorkshireman's shed to produce 'Proper' Motorbicycles, "Just Like Me Mither Used to Make - Appen As Like !"

Dunelt motorcycles... made in Sheffield if my memory serves me well

Oh sorry, I stand corrected

"(The name) Dunelt is a combination of the names of two founders, Dunford
and Elliot. Originally steel makers in Sheffield, started making motorcycles
in Birmingham in 1919, many having Sturmey Archer engines and gearboxes."

Sparkbrook - another BSA plant wasn't it? The firm that makes wire rope safety barriers now uses the site - some would call that ironic.
