Ahoy maties:?

Spent many hours in the shed yesterday, see my post in tech help, hodgepodge has deff'nitly acquired some kind of female personality. no matter how hard I kick her she doesn't get turned on.

Appart from that, quite a productive day in the beer consumption project:D. Going to BBQ today so high leven non-wheeled fun planned.

As I used to say last summe,'Breakfast is the most important bar-b-que of the day'.

After a glorious day yesterday, looks a bit cloudy this morning.  Finished my concreting in the sun but when I came to wipe off the joints, found the dreaded lawnboy had "borrowed" the rubber spatula, t'was he who nicked my barrow three weeks back!  So out came the monster and I rumbled up to French B&Q and found a new one, tempted to go for a ride, it really was a beautiful spring evening, but resisted so I could pass some time with my daughter who is home from uni for the weekend. Today, finish of the terrace and then lunch with the Mother in law, grrrreat!

TOday I have been mostly resisting the urge to get out of bed...

Its 1:45pm now and I think I might just go eat some delicous fish, get the car washed and then go buy some more golfclubs...

Happy Easter on and all!

:dude:

I've just returned from the Scottish MAGs Easter Egg run in Glasgow. The Marshalls reckon there were more than 10,000 yes 10,000 bikes there. Cant say I saw them all but I know I was in the queue for 25mins before I could set off and there was miles (loads) of bikes behind me. Anyway not many classics but got photos of some Triumphs, BSAs and an old Guzzi,(pardon my ignorance but I don't know the model). A truly great day had by all and so I could justify it with Mrs Jimmy, it was for "charidee" (in the style of smashie and nicey)

:D...Jimmy looking delighted in the style of we know who

HOWEVER  I cant expect to be this happy without consequences and to balance the happiness out , at the end of the official run a load of us were going for a run up to the Trossachs (magnificent biking country) when I rode over a couple of potholes and my front mudguard bracket broke....fun over and off home I came

:( :(...extremely sad in his own inimitable style

Anyway does anyone have a spare front mudguard for a T140D (short with on stays) who is willing to sell it on :D :D :D

Nice Day Jimmy!

Sounds like you built in some self-inficted shed time as well! Quite a trick!

I rode the Beesonda a little only to find I shook loose a bolt from the recently painted mudguard so a little shed moment of tightening nuts is clearly in order.:dude:

Oh, and I ate a delicous Fish for lunch served by my favourite waitress who thankfully never seems to tire of my endless glances at her happy in her work. Instead she just returns a smile and all is well with my world...:)

As it is you look like a man whose about to try out his newly aquired self circumcision kit before a live audience:shock:

I hope you didn't burn your meat and I hope Mrs FB Feasted like there was no tomorrow!

23 Degrees! Looks like a lovely day. Now tell me, did you cook the easter bunny?  I won't tell...;)

FB, and even though HP is temporarily down with grimlins, I'm glad to see you have a back-up ride (behind and to your right).:D

Looks delicous.. almost makes me want to go out and eat!! (11:40pm here...)

Someday you'll have to explain to me how a vegitarian can be wholy opposed to eating meat unless it is the kind that swims. Its a distinction that has perplexed me for years but as its of little concequence I try not to give it much airspace in my noggin.

Hmmmm Chicken.... BBQ.... Hungry....:dude:

The backup ride is my sons home modded BMX. My backup is a normal Mountain Bike 27 gears and hydraulic rim brakes. Very nice, not too expensive and can get me to the shed in a reasonable time. After all if I don't do any sports at all then the above, repeated regularly all through the summer would make me look a bit

I wouldn't get through the shed door and would need to upgrade HPs suspension, again:shock:.

On those big events like that, are there many problems with things like squids ripping through the group, cars joining/disrupting the group, etc. or does it remain fairly orderly?

TT It was well marshalled both by MAG and Strathclydes finest so no cars butting in, but you had to be alert with bikes shooting past on both sides and the ones in front braking suddenly :D :D :D

Been working in the small shed today. Went to 3 DIY stores to get a roll of shed roofing felt ... ALL closed. Huh not impressed. Easter Sunday and they all close, anyone would think we were a Christian country. Sooooo back in shed, used an old roll of roofing felt, not enough for the roof, to line out the lower part of the shed to stop any wind coming in and dampness. THEN constructed 2 work benches out of spare stirling board left over from my previous shed construction. Tommorrow is another day AND the DIY stores are open. Soon have the shed finished.

:D

Spent the morning shoving the bike back together, was meant to be officiating at  yacht + dinghy  races in the afternoon but we had 40+kn of wind so most of them stayed ashore and we decided not to tempt fate by asking the remaining nutters to race.

This gave me time to go play and see how it goes.  The answer is that  flat spot ( well gaping hole) at 4K RPM has vanished courtesy of new carb slides and needles  and a pair of RGM's silencers that look like black caps but aren't.   Any road that has a name like "The  Lang Wang" has got to be OK and I can report - it still is!

Last night I had delicious fresh fish, cooked with cillies and spring onions, bean sprouts and mushrooms (which I am starting to think are a wee bit "special" :)), the food here is just fantastic, I don't think I will ever tire of it. Today is gloriuos hot sunshine, and the internet is functioning quite freely, so I shall be updating me website. Thin evening I think I shall have my fave, fresh crabs in ginger, totally messy, but the most delicious food ever to pass my lips! :):):)
