i phrased it badly bud. i took my waterproofs but discovered the crotchseam on the trousers was very NOT waterproof. took about 10mins of rain to be sitting in a puddle which then poured down my legs into my boots as i stood up - lovely!
managed to spill washing up liquid on my thigh one morning, had bubbles coming out my boots as i walked for two days

Made up my mind to sell the W650 - I panicked last time and kept it but have hardly used it since.  I've also made up my mind to get a rigid framed BSA - I've seen a rigid B31 I really like but would also be tempted by a smaller 4-stroke.  Hope I'm not breaching forum etiquette if I invite anyone who might be interested to PM me (I would consider an exchange for a rigid BSA but I don't have much money at the mo so it would have to be of a similar or lower value).  If I am being "inappropriate" please delete/ignore this!

We now have another bike! It's been given to us, a Kawasaki Z250 Ltd.  Our friend rebuilt the top end of the engine a few years ago and when he told the owner it was going to cost £100 the owner said he may as well keep it and handed over the log book!  It's quite a sweet little thing, needs a little bit of work though.  The seat is an enormous thing, like a mattress. Tempted to do it up and keep it for Rhys as he can almost touch the ground when he sits on it but will probably have to sell it.  Besides which, we cannot fit it in the sheds.....:?

Went into Nimes today, quite warm, but a bit windy, had a coffee in one of the pavement cafés and watched a young lad doing acrobatics and wheelies and stoppies on a mountain bike, not a BMX thing. He really was a joy to watch, very skillful, and really enjoying himself, not flash but really laid back.I must have one of those faces, cos everywhere I go I get asked directions to different places, used to be a standing joke between me and my ex,got a bollicking off a Polish bloke one day,cos I did'nt know where the campsite he was looking for was,the list is endless, but today was the best one yet!I'm in a super market when some woman asks me "Where is the salt?"

I give up!........gibber...gibber....Time for a drink!!

Yesterday I decided to buy a video camera, small enough to mount on my handlebars, or fork leg, or even helmet. So I bought one, didn't get a chance to try it out yet but I may just take the twistiest route up to Cologne next week for the Intermot Bike show. Went for a bit of a blast, but my rear tyre has really seen better days and it was too cold to get any kind of heat into the rubber so more of a bimble than a blast really.

Stayed in bed most of the morning listening to the rain........soon after getting up, an old friend turned up.  He and Jon were my first friends after moving to Telford but I haven't seen him for a few years.  It was just like old times 'cause we all have the same stupid sense of humour so we had a very enjoyable afternoon chatting and catching up.  He let us drive his 1972 matt black VW Beetle that he bought for £50, welded and painted and made road legal. Great fun!  If we had a driveway to keep it on, I'd have one - just wouldn't be happy leaving one parked in the road as we have to do here.  Didn't do anything I had planned to do but it was far from a wasted afternoon. :)

Today, despite the excellent weather, I was out in Halifax with the Land Rover, met some fine folk from the OLLR forum.

http://ollr.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=8295

This week I've MOTd the FXR and took it out for a good run with Mrs. Jessplop, I have also Motd and insured the 550 zephyr, so that I can use it as a winter hack and get it spruced up to sell on (maybe) next season. I've also sold young master jessplops KX80 to a nice pikey chap in Blackburn, who keeps texting me for detailed information regarding the KX, thankfully he is learning to read, so soon he'll be able to use the manual what I did give to him wiv the bike, innit?

Mainly today I have been watching ancient agricultural machines of the niternal combustion engine and steam engine types performing on a near swamp near Southport:D. Bloody brilliant! Just wish I'd had a BSA Victor with good Knobblies on to join in the mud fun! Sadly no mud wrestling though:shock:

I spent most of today driving up and down the mountain between the two local towns like a yo-yo to get my paperwork in order for the foreseeable future........

The bad news is that I had to hand my firearms into the local cop shop for temporary safe keepng until my new application gets sorted out :(

The other bad news is that the local home affairs office didn't give us the 2 year visas  we'd applied for :(

The good news is that instead of giving us 2 year visas they gave us 3 year visas! :D:D:D:D HOO-FERKIN'-RAY!!!!!!!!

This morning I tested my new "Action Cam" mounted on handlebar, too much noise from air intake, that triumph triple whistling. and some emp noise I guess. I will try later today mounted on forks. camera works well with virtually no vibration and clear image.

Friday I will take the twisty roads to cologne for the InterMot bike show, which I shall attend Saturday and meet up with Ashley of the Harz.
