The Head has been skimmed, barrel honed and thevalves and seats re ground, I have new rings, a head gasket and missing o ring to fit.
Going to start rebuilding now.

Will report back later on.

there could be loads of oil in the exhaust that may take a good while to clear

Flushed the whole exhaust system out, finished rebuilding the engine, going to start to rebuilt the bike now.

its always nice t know exactly what caused the problem, what do you reckon, also did you get the little colt upto 60 mph

I think it was a few things to be honest, head, head gasket, missing o-ring ect.

And no, not yet, will do one day though .....;)

Think its the main end bearings and/ or the big end bearing

Had such a good day today, bike seems ok, didn't have a back brake at all, it needs sorting at some point, the front brake was trying to kill me aswell so that needs looking at. There is a lot of engine braking on the TLR, and it's really low geared so wasn't to much of a problem.
The bike took some stick and didn't bat an eye lid, Should just about be run in by now too I think.
It's running rich, so need to have a play with plug heat ranges, or the mixture/needle height.
