hello..the 53 bb 34 was used off road it is not a true gs but a clipper. as most of my bikes they all start out as trashed machines waiting for their chance at life again.

i did most parts in aluminum but also used some ss. unity  equipe seat and tank, some engine parts from phil pearson both in uk...

will post a better photo of the ducati 250 next...have a good day,joe

as i said before it's not a gs but a alloy clipper.... like those goldstars (like most people) but refuse to pay stupid money for them!

here is a ducati 250...actually a mototrans spanish duc, it was a scrambler i picked up last year from a customer as that bevel drive is a great looking motor...complete bike done here through the cold mn winter... have a good one,joe

Any chance of a close up of the bike with the high level pipe and flattrack seat unit?

I assume this is the A10. What seat and tank did you use?

well,it may not be a bona fide Goldie but nevertheless is a BB34 500cc all alloy engine which cant be all that differant from the Goldie of 53.i think the bike looks really brilliant and looks very "period".it makes a refreshing change from seeing the ZB/BB models rebuilt in exactly the same clubmans trim as the large fin CB onwards Goldies which is totally wrong, the clubmans spec on the small fin Goldies bieng very differant.well done, wish it was mine!;)

Most of us in here like specials. I like the look of the BSA with the P11 tank and those neat twin pipes as well.

I've heard that the flywheels on the Mototrans Ducatis have a habit of breaking up but that otherwise the Spanish made bikes are as good as, and in some ways better than (because they were made for longer and all the earlier problems had been ironed out), the Italian singles.

If the Duke was mine I'd fit clip-ons - but it's your bike and not mine.
