thanks for the comments guys,i have only had it about four weeks, when i bought it it was a non runner and hadnt been run for a few years.the clutch was stuck so had to dismantle and clean the plates, had to make a new dowel pin for the kickstart return spring and the air slides were stuck, amongst many other things.slowly working my way through it(and enjoying it!),now been on the road for two weeks and went for my first shakedown ride to Skipton yesterday and it went like a rocket!.it was built in 1966 and has never been restored so a bit grotty in places but getting better.the engine is a 59 bonnie and the frame a 56 wideline.my first British bike since 1977(a Commando),and now the only type of bike i would want.it is a bit of a wrist/neck/back killer but as i am 57 years old i suppose this is to be expected!

I'm 58 and ride a Guzzi sportster with clip-ons, rearests etc.

You will get used to it!

Anything else just feels weird to me now.

Tried swapping the controls over? Right hand clutch, left hand throttle & brake? Though that may cause greater trouble of course. Be a good anti theft mechanism though!

great machine Triplet,a real cafe racer,i,ve got a modern fake,  Thruxton 900 which has the same uncomfortable riding position,i,ve found that the best remedy is speed and lots of it,above 70mph and the wind supports your weight, cruises all day at 90 to a ton in perfect comfort, only downside is crick in neck looking out for the fuzz!proper Ogri bike you have there, nice one.
