not starting it just yet as im nearly finished the bsa b40 i started last year, friend of a friend found this little beauty in the back of an elderly gentlemans shed, had been there over 25 years, not too bad condition considering its age, its an early 1948/9 model rigid, seems to be all there .

cheers mark.

Great basis for a mini-chopper!

OK, I own up. The "chopper" remark was meant as a wind-up!
Standard would be good.
Trials/ competition spec would be even better, though!

How's that for a compromise?

Unusually for me, I'd go standard as it looks like lots of original bits there. Most of my bikes weren't totally original when I got them so I don't feel bad about changing them to suit me but it would be a shame to alter something that is all original. That's just my opinion so probably not worth much!! And I think the early Bantams in particular are lovely looking as standard.
