not starting it just yet as im nearly finished the bsa b40 i started last year, friend of a friend found this little beauty in the back of an elderly gentlemans shed, had been there over 25 years, not too bad condition considering its age, its an early 1948/9 model rigid, seems to be all there .

Well, the speedos still there, and there not cheap, should make a nice bike, I'm with mcnut here, full resortaion back to it's former glory. :)

glad you like it, even had it running, albeit a bit smokey, plans to date are get it all sandblasted and primered to i can see how bad it all is then start collecting parts. wont be starting it till next year though. cheers mark.;)

Unusually for me,  I'd go standard as it looks like lots of original bits there.  Most of my bikes weren't totally original when I got them so I don't feel bad about changing them to suit me but it would be a shame to alter something that is all original.  That's just my opinion so probably not worth much!! :D And I think the early Bantams in particular are lovely looking as standard.
