Actually it's a bit more advanced than this. The front suspension is from a late 70s Suzuki GSX 750 and the disks are earlier GS.It's got a 1000cc Hyde engine and an uprated (heavy)sintered clutch.The gearbox is from a low mileage R3 . Carbs are new and the ignition is a Boyer(Trispark coming soon).Wheels are 18".I'll be using a T169 tank because it looks so good.I made my own hydraulic clutch that while still on the heavy side at least completely disengages and doesn't preload the pullrod .I'm at the moment making a 3 into 1 exhaust system in stainless.Don't have the faintest idea if it'll work.

| I remember reading somewhere that three into one exhausts don't work too well for some reason that I can't recall. Some triples have three into two into one systems, to get round this. Maybe someone cleverer than me knows why.

| I think I read something about a flat spot.I have owned this bike for many years antd it always had this three into one with a little racing silencer and to be honest it was never a problem.But I may make my new system a three into two into one and see how it goes.

| my Trident with 3 into one goes ok,there is a very slight mid range flat spot but i find large throttle openings and a total disregard for ones hearing helps!this is a temporary system for me as a mate is fabricating a three into three system like an X75 for me,will let you know how it works.beware the sintered clutch plate,being so hard it will rapidly increase wear on the other clutch componants,my mate who uses a Hyde thou uses a stock plate with the grey spring which i think is 12% uprated(stock is orange)and finds this works well. | My problem with the clutch is that it was never leak free for long before.That's why I fitted the Hyde plate.If it stays dry after I've run the bike for a while then I will revert to the standard friction plate.
