| To be honest it looked pretty much the same as it does now, the bike had had a fortune spent and had never run but the engine had been badly put together so its just been a case of take it all appart and put it back together, someone who races vincents has rebuilt the motor for me (it helps to know what you are doing with these, they have to be spot on) the time has been due to him fitting it in around his busy work life. I rode it for the first time yesterday, it must have been some piece of kit in its day. I have just mot'd it and i'm off to the dvla now to try and get it registered

Great to see that it's ready for the road.
That's where bikes belong, not in museums.

| what a beaut, ride it as often as you can, well built Vincents can cover massive mileages, one of our club members has traveled all over the world on his since he retired a few years ago. he bought the bike in 1961 and it cost him £69!!.he has riden through Canada and the States to Mexico,a few years ago he rode it around New Zealand, bit closer to home this year,he rode it up to Scotland from Wells in somerset then spent a few days touring round the Orkneys before heading home again.http://www.kichline.com/chuck/MikeC/default.htm Attachment: Badlands.jpg (Downloaded 65 times) Last edited on Tue Sep 30th, 2008 09:31 pm by james guthrie w

Hey Dudley
or should that be 'Dude'ly
How cool, motorcycle nirvana.
Nice one, that'll make a change from squirting an SV round the circuits, total respect for living the dream.
regards Rob
