First coat of primer done. It is almost, but not quiteTouch dry (the correct time to do another coat) in 10 mins, 2 more coats to do, then 4 coats of the top colour that will take 1 hour to be almost touch dry EACH, It's going to be a loooooooooonnnnnnng day/night, oh well, at least I like Spraying. :)

Looking good. How come you leave such short gaps between coats? If I didn't leave the bantam bits for at least 4 days they crackled up. Took me 2 sodding months on just the frame!

Indeed it does, Been out side since 12pm (ish) this afternoon, just got in now, been in a few times for drinks, tea ect but mostly been hard at work, and the great part is I have somthing to show for it at the end of the day(the bike), so many young people waste there lives away sitting at pc's playing crappy games or sitting round in a bus shelter saying "im bored" or "it's crap round here",what do they have to show for there time at the end of the day ? nothing at all, thats what.

:)

Well said old chap. If only more of the younger set could realise the satisfaction gained from doing something constructive, the world would be a slightly better place.

Every credit to you Jamie, looking forward to seeing it all together.

TeeHee! You sound like an Old Bloke......you're right though, well done! My 10 year old thinks that all he wants to do is play crap pc games etc but as soon as you drag him out to do something "real" he doesn't want to stop.:)

Seccond coat of top colour done, taking longer than it should to dry as it's quite cold, took over night for the first one to dry.
Damn Damn Damn, it's putting me behind schedule big syle.
So it's going to have to be done like this
Leave till 7pm tonight then respray another coat
So that will be coat number 3
leave over night tonight
re spray early tomorrow morning
leave all day thursday right through to early friday morning and start to rebuild on friday, that will give me two days to rebuild the whole bike and finish off a few more bit's and bobs.
It's going to be a close one.... :?

I'm almost tempted to take a run over to the Welshes to see it !
A complete 'restoration' and rebuild in under a week seems like rushing things a bit to me but I admire your spirit.

More than likley...:X
Worst comes to the worst I don't take the honda and just take the Ariel, no biggy, I do like a challenge though. :)
would be nice to have the honda ready in time, it's possible to do if nothing goes wrong and everything goes back togeather nice and smooth though. Don't think ill get the white stripe done in time on the tank and seat or get the fork legs polished but that can easily be done at another time
Right I'm off to go sort them manky wheels out

Quite right. My little brother spends all his time on computers. He's your stereotype computer nerd-chuuby, badly dressed, slovenly and lives in a binary world.

My hobby got me a job building jet engines :D

When I make my millions and get a fully equiped CNC and manual workshop, I'd love to build and fit a mini Deltic arrangement engine in a bike. Just for giggles y'see :)
