Anybody have experience or know anyone who's built a Jawa 500 speedway/Featherbed special? I would love to do this, but have no idea how it would work. Do I use a Wideline? Slimline? How would I work around the total-loss lubrication? Anyhelp appreciated...

Nice idea mate but!!
Iv'e seen it done with a Weslake engine and thought the engine was way to small for the frame, but what ever makes your boat float,if its gotta be done, then its gotta be done .
It won't make any difference what frame you use,its just easier on the thighs with a slimline , it was only the top frame rails that were nipped in to make it easier when you put a foot down(more user friendly for short arses).
Good Luck

gbgiver-i worked your life out -
all you,d need to do- was get a 'normous pile of cash-order your frame from one of the many fabricators here in england-have your motor templates welded/brazed on,buy your body parts and oil tank from one of the many u.k. suppliers, drink plenty of real ale,get a few roast dinners down, buy your duty frees, box the whole lot up as spares-and ship it home,i know the import laws are mega tough in canada, but a bit of research,a nice two week vacation in blighty-and BOOM-your dream bike starts to happen...these things fly!
