Dominant performance by Rossi - he's definitely back on it.
Good to see Stoner having a good race for 2nd on the Ducati.
And a pretty decent 6th place for Toseland.
Good race !

| Just when you think Rossi's blown it, he nails down the throttle and shows everyone with a string of wins, what he's made of. Terrific stuff, sorry for Lorenzo, but it's time Ducati found a n° 2 rider who can!!

They had one, the guy who did more work than anyone else to get that bike competetive - Loris Capirossi !

Qualifying for the Catalunya round is on BBCi Live NOW !
Big News is that Lorenzo will not be racing - he had a(nother !) big off yesterday, twatted his head quite badly and is heavily concussed.
Young Bradders also had a bad crash on his 125

I doubt he'll win it though.
Even starting from the third row and wearing silly leathers I reckon Rossi will be up and around the rostrum somewhere.

Hmmmm, yup 'fraid your probably right. Shame because another win from Rossi will more or less wind up the championship I fear.

On the other hand, it's nice to see the likeable little f*cker back on it again !
It's good when Ducati win, but I just can't bring myself to like Casey Stoner and I REALLY don't want to see Honda dominating things again.
I'd like to see Capirossi do well on the Suzuki too - it's about time another manufacturer stepped up to the plate, it'd also show Ducati what a BIG mistake they made replacing him with Melandri.
What's the odds on him making it to the end of the season as a Ducati rider ?
Alex Barros to replace him within the next two races !

| Rossi's never really "off it" I admire his talent and realise that he's done a lot to popularise the sport, but I enjoy a "race" and for the moment he is head and shoulders above the rest. Melandri shouldn't be there, but much as I admire Capirossi, last year when the bike was running well, he was rarely running close to Stoner. I think a rider like Toseland, with his winning experience, and ambitious style would make a good Ducati team man, but as factory politics possibly insist on an Italian rider maybe Dovizioso could do the job. He certainly looked good in Quatar.

Cracking race between Rossi and Stoner.
That Ducati looked a right handful compared to the Yamaha though.
Just listening to Stoner complaining about his rear tyre - Whingeing Git !
I'd like to see what Rossi could do on the Duke.
I wonder how much money it would take to lure Rossi and Burgess to Ducati ?
Another hard fought 6th for Toseland - all the talk now is of a podium at Donington - I can't see it myself, I think 6th is probably about as good as he can get at the moment.

Agreed a good race, but I don't quite agree with the "whingeing git" bit. If he's got nothing to complain about, how is it that nobody else can peddle a Ducati that fast? I don't doubt that JT can climb up a few at Donnington, logically he should be able to beat Edwards because he has the same material, Dovizioso is good but a little inconsistant, and Stoner is on and off so that could place him 3rd. Added to which a few superbike-style fairing bashing corners, maybe accompanied by Edwards who knows how to do that, and the other GP pussies will all be behind them! I'm betting on a Tech-Trois 1&2 for Donningon!!!

As I said, I've no doubt that Stoner is working Bloody Hard on that bike, and undoubtedly he's talented, like you say, no-one else is getting as much out of the Ducati as he is.
I really just cannot bring myself to like hime though.
When he loses he can't just be gracious in defeat and say 'well done, we tried, now we've got to go away and try harder' he has to whinge and moan in public, and he always looks like he's about to cry his little eyes out.
I think he'd have been better off wearing the 'Pansy' leathers (Copyright S. Parrish ! - I wonder how much trouble he'll get into for that line !)
As for Donington, I reckon it'll be the usual suspects up front; Rossi, Stoner and Pederosa. Lorenzo is likely to be back, Edwards also likes Donington and won't be out to do Toseland any favours, so he'll be back fighting with Capirossi, Dovizioso, Hayden and Vermeulen for 6th place.
I reckon our best chance for a podium is going to be in the 125's - especially if young Bradley is fit.

And after all that excitement did anyone else watch the F1 ?
Best drivers in the Best cars ?
The last two races really have been the funniest I've seen in a long while.
What we need is more random uncertainty added to the races.
Rain in Monaco, Track breaking up in Canada, Plague of Birthing Hippo's at the next round ?
As soon as conditions aren't perfect ( when the 'racing' turns into a procession) folk start flinging their cars at the scenery with gay abandon !
Hilarious !

To be honest I don't think that was actually his fault.
The pit lane light didn't seem able to make it's mind up what colour it wanted to be - you can see it plainly cycling between red, amber and green,
Also what was Raikkonnen doing ?
He pulled into his pit and then pulled straight back out again.
Funny as f*** though !

Come on Gus! You should lay off the beer. Hammy didn't even look at the red light, and it was fixed red, there was a yellow flasher on the same post, but directed to the circuit. He saw Raikkonen get in front, because he took less fuel, have a near-miss with Heidfeld, and took off like a scalded cat, forgetting to LOOK for the traffic light. Typical high-street RTA!! "sorry mate, didn't see the light" instead of "sorry mate, wasn't looking at the light" Either way, good entertainment, got to hear the Polish national anthem for the first time in my life! (I don't watch too much footy!) Somehow I can't see Ecclestone letting Kubica become world champ, image of F1 and all that, not a very charismatic guy and god knows, an ugly fecker, got a nose like a parrot! Anyhow, Hammy's got to pay the price, 10 places back on the grid for the GP de France!!

fair play to kubica though after that monster crash there last year, 185mph landing on his head!
but back on subject, did pedrosa have the new air valve engine, if he didn't doesn't look like he needs it, could have won bu 8 or 9 seconds if he hadn't slowed for the last few laps.
watching rossi and stoner backing it in was awesome too!
and well done JT a nice solid 6th again, hope to see him up on the podium soon, we know the bike can do it as Edwards has shown.
(and what about the rumours of Ducati WSB wanting Edwards to replace Bayliss?? is there Life in the old texan yet???

Nope ! they decided that they hadn't had enough time to set it up.
Donington maybe ?
Edwards back to WSB ?
I hadn't heard that one.
F1 ?
Yeah, I watched it in the pub so I missed Massa coming into the pit as Raikkonnen left - it looked to me like the same car !
Kubica World Champion - In a German car ?
Forget Ecclestone - What would Max Moseley say ?
