As Val Page designed both these motors and the BSA M20 motor maybe the bearings and rods , timing gears might be interchangeable, worth an investigation?

| right so ive got the engine, apart from missing the oil pump and all of the screws and a few broken fins its not too bad inside the cams are covered in rust but its not too bad once some fine wet and dry has done its stuff the bottom of the barrel has broken off but it looks like this just helped to locate the barrel onto the crank cases looks like itll need a rebore anyway so i might get it sleved then i can use the original piston with new rings its quite a tidy little engine really but what to do with it now? i fancy building some sort of vintage or veteran style flat tanker no lights hand change light and lean what do you think? any ideas or pics for ideas welcome

I wouldn't start anything until you find the missing oilpump and other ancillaries. Does the motor seem to have a Triumph type twin piston arrangement or a worm type gear pump as on M20's? I've never seen the inside of those Triumph singles, even tho' it was one of those that my brother and i learn't to ride on as teenagers around the local quarry!! Douglas
