SS claims to be a liberal but calls black people by the N word. He insults Loz and calls him unintelligent, Loz is clearly a very intelligent fellow.

Why doesn't he realise when he's not welcome and do the decent thing? It's because for all of his rantings about how the world should be, he is not a decent human being.

Detour on the other hand is a different sort. He has his opinions and he's not afraid to share them, but I don't remember a time when he forced them on us or told anyone that they were not entitled to disagree with him. I don't always agree with him but I do respect him.

SS, you don't earn respect and you don't deserve it, you will not be missed.

Sorry to say, Detour, but my computer shows"Video not available" when I try to follow your link. :(

Does this work for people? Same song and singer, from You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og_ovYodzrw

In the extremely unlikely event of my ending up in Heaven - it will be awful for me.

Why? My sister and all the other Christians in my family smirking and smugly, endlessly for all eternity, telling me that I was wrong! :?

But that thought really doesn't keep me awake at night, either.

Something like this might keep me awake, though..... "Ghost Riders in the sky"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsfw9CEQITA

I might end up riding with a herd screaming of Japanese 2 strokes! Aaaaarrrgghhh!!!

I can`t view the video either...as for heaven, who`s to say what happens next, me, I keep an open mind and try to enjoy the here and now, though I could see myself sitting on a cloud, playing a harp whilst Pooh feeds me grapes :)

If you like country maybe you like rockabilly too?

I went to see the Stray cats last week - great gig - I last saw them in 1980.

Yeah, I really like country now. My kids listen to the stuff I listened to way back when, great music but after 30plus years its time to move on. The best music for listening is in country. Others may disagree of course.

Me too. I love country and western. Favourite ,,,,,,,,,, Has to be Willie Nelson, followed by people like Kenny Rogers (the Gambler), Kris Kristoferson, Glen Campbell, I like em all. But then I also like/love ballads and Musicals so I guess I'll just get put down as some kind of eccentric. Can't beat a bit of the big band music, Glenn Miller etc as well as people like Vera Lynn ,Alma Cogan, Doris day .....

Okay so I'll get me hat

:dude:

I'm an ageing rocker and like rockabilly and good old rock and roll from the 50s. But I've got eclectic tastes and like early reggae, punk rock and grunge rock from the 90s as well, not to mention African music and even some classical.

Sorry, that Blind Melon song does nothing for me. Reminds me of Neil Young. :(

If you're going to be miserable with country influenced music then you might as well do it properly. :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pYTOHernds

Hank Williams "Cold, cold heart."

(No dogs died or were mistreated in the making of this song)

Must confess, I'm getting to like Country music more and more as I get older.

But are there any happy Country songs? :?

I feel a new thread coming on
