Anyone else care to post a few links to favourite tracks?
Classic Rock and Classic bikes seem to go so well together. Might even start a debate?
Try this for starters - the greatest Rock'n'Roll band in the World with some of their best tunes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faEEro38pEA Honky Tonk Woman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqg1WVVmgx0 Gimme Shelter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vdwbBHmtMc " You can't always get what you want" which I remember from Let it Bleed album, not as a 45
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io9jgvyhr0c Sympathy for the Devil
(Apologies to Ash for hijacking his other thread somewhat. In the words of another song "Hope I'm not too messianic." )
(Easy on youtube! Click share video, cut and paste the link to here)
Highlight it, control and C key move cursor on to here or wherever then control and V key - done!
AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JUST DON'T SIGN UP TO YOUTUBE OR THIS STOPS WORKING!!! IF I FIGURE OUT A WAY AROUND THIS I WILL LET YOU KNOW!!!

That's cool Neil, this video is October 2007 - no minimum age requirement on this thread!
Similar-ish title Sweet Child in Time, Deep Purple
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjh7fSR-_HM
a sort of "rebuild " of this 1970s original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-K038-0tF8
Another"Classic" Smoke on the Water - still photos only but a great live recording from Japan 1972
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q-DgKp5Qhg
Several different line-ups for Deep Purple, choose your personal favourite - all good i.m.h.o.

Cream at their best and most intense! Crossroads
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkm9OiYvmPc
Robert Johnson doing the original! 1930s with weird selection of still photos.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yd60nI4sa9A
The concluding duel of the movie of the same name, based on the legend of Robert Johnson's deal with the Devil. Be patient with the build up (maybe 3 minutes) it's worth it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlUG2wnmKsQ
Something a little more mellow (despite dodgey politics!) Sweet Home Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Crossroads great tune, BIG difference between the original Crossroads Blues by Robert Johnson and the version by Clapton. Have heard two versions by Clapton, the one usually heard and a slower, bluesy version that is excellent . It's on the Crossroads 1 boxset

Great post there Leonard . I love funk! Big fan of Stanley Clarke of the older generation of bassists.
For your efforts, have this from North Sea Jazz 2006.
Jeff Beck with Mr Clarke

PS. Don't know who the other bassist is but top bloke!
PPS. Flick on open harmonic chord by Beck is f***ing tasty at 2.28 mins

My hearing's never been the same since seeing Motorhead and I'm afraid to say, Tenpole Tudor, in the same week in 1981. My left ear is knackered.

I saw the Stones last year at the O2. It was one of the best of the many many gigs I've ever been to since I first started seeing bands in the late 70s. Sympathy for the Devil was a particular highlight.
Good rock/bike tracks would have to include: Duane Eddy - Peter Gunn, The Clash - Brand new Cadillac, Creedence Clearwater Revival - Up 'an around the bend, The Foo Fighters - The Pretender.
I find that when I go to see a really good band, I get the urge to go home an rev my bike up. The need to do this increases in proportion to the quality of the music in my experience. Am I the only one who reacts to live/loud music this way?
