Saw an excellent biopic on edith, called "La Vie en Rose", in french (naturally) last time I had to suffer an Air France flight. Certainlyt made the journey bearable!

haven't seen it yet, but its on my list of must-do's!

La Vie en Rose is a real emotional  roller-coaster - intense and exhausting.

My favourite tracks:  Young & Rich and of course White Punks on Dope

Some of  their later stuff was very commercial  but non the less utterly brilliant

The Tubes were a  good band to listen to just for the hell of it. The '78 album "What Do you Want Live" with "White Punks on Dope", "I Was a Punk Before You Was a Punk" are some fine tunes. Too bad it's not available of CD, at least I haven't seen it.

Saw them in Victorville California back in 88 at some local dive. Still good:D

It's Miss Grace Jones.  Lovely slow funk and great bass ably produced by Trevor Horn (music God & sound engineer supreme)

Very nice, if crazed!

But she would have been nowt without Aly and Robbie - here's them doing an Ohio Players Cover - the album's well worth getting for the Laswell production and guest appearances by Trouble Funk, Bootsy et al..

I understand that some of the contributers on here with young children have had to put this forum on parental control. Not cos of the language but because Mr Small's picture is giving them nightmares
