If I want to post a link but want it to appear as a single word (or two) rather than a mile-long convoluted mess, what do I have to do?  I'm sure I have read how to do it on another thread but I have searched and can't find it again.:?

Jamie's rules work.
And are supposed to work.
And for 99.9999999% of Forums then it Does work.
For reasons that i can't figure out at all though, for some reason trying to do that between this forum and eBay just doesn't work at all !
F*ck Knows why not, but it's Bl**dy annoying !

its easier than that there is a link button on the top line of the buttons when you type a message just write the word you want as the link highlight it ( by right clicking at the start of the word hold down the mouse button and go over the word with the cursor) then click on the link button then copy ( Ctrl c ) and paste ( Ctrl v )the URL in the box simple

Not all the time it doesn't !
I don't know why not, but for some reason I've started having problems with it.
It works fine on other forums that I inhabit, it's just this one.
Not all of the time, just mostly !

How Strange !
It must be a browser issue.
I normally use Firefox, but have now downloaded and am trying out Google Chrome - and I've now got the 'Link' button - no Spellcheck though.
And I've also completely lost the second row of buttons

I don't get most of those buttons on aol, either.

Only Search, My Account, Members, Calendar and Help!

You Tube is easy. Highlight the "share" option, cut and paste (Control and c to cut and then Control and V to place it where you want.

Ebay? I know it's cumbersome, but I usually Email the advert to myself and then cut and paste the title from the received Email as above.

Well, I've never claimed to be clever! :? Especially about computers.
