i joined the forum a while ago but have only just got around to saying hello.

so, hello :-)

ive been riding bikes for a few years and passed my das last year. i currently have a newish z750. but would like to get something a bit older and interesting, something to work on. modern bikes are great but bloody boring if your not riding them.

i would like to build a cafe racer or maybe a bobber or just get an old bike back on the road.  but dont know where to start so if anyone has any advice its more than welcome. i dont have a huge budget so it wont be a pre unit triton or gold star, maybe guzzi or sportster or even an indian bullet. i have even thought about a ural!! Well they are different!!

so hello again and ill keep you posted on what i choose as my first classic.

hi everyone.

i did think about a bantam, but im 6 foot 4 and 17 stone. so it might be a tiny bit to small.

i would like something british but they do seem to be overpriced for what they are. but something might turn up.

Hello! A single cylinder four stroke will probably be the easiest thing to work on...

OI, SHUT IT. Old bikes are lovely, even when the engine explodes 200 miles from your shed.
