I have a foolish notion to go to the Elefantentreffen motorcycle in Bavaria next
year:
http://current.com/items/88922655_the_coldest_meeting_elefantentreffen
To avoid falling off every 5 minutes i'm going to need a sidecar - does anyone
have one in
any condition (rusty/dented/anything) or know of the whereabouts of one?
Cheers
Steve

You mad Fool, are you a wimp ?. Go solo, I did, went on a pre war two stroke back in 75 when it was at the Nurburgring ( when men were real men) or was it that i was young ,foolish and an idiot?. Nowt has changed much for me just older and not quite as foolish but still an idiot. Anyway if you still want a side car get on flebay there's always some cheapies on there, also if you get on the federation of sidecars web site there is some one wanting rid of Two for FREE. Just a few words of advice if you do put a chair on get plenty of practice driveing the outfit BEFORE you go as it can be a bit ing at times.

Hi try ebay
I think i saw a chasis under AJS or Matchless the other night. You could add a wooden box to sleep in!
regards Rob

I have my pals A10 in the garage which I hope to buy from him but it is all fitted out with sidecar fittings and a VW Polo oil cooler, the sidecar chassis is at another pals.
I could see what he wants for the chassis and fittings, but probaly not much. Although you stay about a million miles from me I will be down to the NEC either for the 'normal' Bike Show or the 'Classic Bikes at Classic Car' thing, haven't made my mind up which but could chuck the bits in the van (if the NEC is anywhere near you??).
The fitting down near the s/arm is welded on but I could cut it off if you were OK about welding on to your bike.
This chassis used to have a huge box on it which was regularly slept in.
