We've created this forum to help those find that last bolt they need to complete their restoration or have a space where people can get rid of a box of old bits they've had stuck in their garage for the past 10 years.

But just to let you all know, we have restricted this section to parts and spares and misc items only. No bikes allowed in this forum!

If we see anybody trying to sell a complete bike, it will be removed.

Please play nicely!

Not that i imagine for as second that I could find a buyer in Thailand for any of my bikes through this forum, but I am curious as to why you have a restriction on selling bikes here?

Is it rude to ask?:?

I have noticed a couple of things in my short 38ish years, most bikers, like me have a bunch of spares and wouldn't dream of selling them until someone asks for a particular part and then will often sell it at a very reasonable price, or even hand it over for a pint. I have several buddies here in Frankfurt which ride British and they often ask me if I happen to have one widget or another and it sort of ends up being a fair trade between friends. I agree that complete bikes should not be sold through a forum since the ads in the mag are fee, use them instead. If we start flogging of bikes here, the next thing we will have dealers on here trying to get rid of that rusty heap they took in PX back in 1972 and could never get to run but is a loverly piece of MC History, rather than honest bikers.

If someone happens to have too many bikes (strange concept) they could mention the fact taktfully in a discussion and then if somebody has too few bikes they could send afore said person via private message.

Good point and well made. Keeping the Stealers away from this site can only be a good thing;)

Tact and diplomacy win out again. :)
